TRICKS
TRICKS are the generative study and creation tools: quizzes, flashcards, GenAI images, and Canvas documents. Use them on pasted text, from a knowledge-base section, or as follow-ups from Mind Chat when the matching tool is enabled.
Quiz
Open Quiz and paste educational content (at least 50 characters), or generate from a PDF, crawl, YouTube, or Canvas section. Choose a content type, question count (auto or 3–30), and optional directives. Generation runs as a background task; open the result as a multiple-choice quiz with shuffled options, answer reveal, and optional voice. History tracks performance over time.
Flashcards
FlashCards turn pasted notes (or a knowledge-base section) into a study deck. Pick a mode—definition on the front with an explanation on the back, or a sentence on the front with a keyword on the back—plus card count and difficulty. Decks generate immediately, save to history, and support flip, shuffle, and grid or single-card study. Billing is per request.
GenAI
Image generation uses Google Gemini in the cloud: write a prompt, optionally attach reference images, and choose aspect ratio and style. Stills and GIFs land in your gallery. How the API call and storage work is covered in Generative image generation; browser-side crop, mask, and similar edits are in Image post-processing tools.
Inside Mind Chat, enabled diagram and infographic tools can also produce visuals in the thread so explanations stay next to the conversation instead of only in the Image workspace.
Canvas
Canvas shows up in two places. In Mind Chat, turn on the Canvas tool so the assistant can create or update a document attached to the thread after the main reply—useful when the deliverable is a long-form note rather than a chat paragraph. Those documents live in the Canvas panel for that conversation; see How your assistant plans and responds.
The Canvas knowledge base is a separate outline of markdown sections you edit yourself or seed with an AI learning plan. It is documented with the other sources on Knowledge base.
When they run from chat
If quiz, Canvas, or diagram-style tools are enabled on the assistant, planning can flag them and a post-response step can produce the artifact after the main answer. You still choose which tools are on; the graph does not run every trick on every message.
